Since the end of 2019 we have had the priviledge of being in partnership with our ELCA siblings over at Abiding Savior on Ruie Rd. in North Tonawanda. We share one pastor who preaches at both churches each Sunday and provides pastoral care to both congregations as well. She also splits her office time between both churches during the week. We remain separate independent entities, but that doesn't mean we remain isolated from each other.

Twice a year our church councils get together to check in on the partnership and plan combined services and events for the next six months or so. We also discuss how to strengthen the partnership and what we have learned works and doesn't work. These have been invaluable meetings that have led to better communication and a stronger sense of community.

We also have a combined newsletter that features all things having to do with both congregations. It not only helps with communication but also shows support for what the other church has going on and provides an opportunity to pray for and walk with that congregation and community.

The partnership is just that, a partnership. It is not intended to be the first step, or any step, towards a merge or anything of the sort. It is an opportunity for two smaller congregations to come together and support one another in a way that enables both congregations to continue their mission and maintain a presence in their respective neighborhoods and communities. It has allowed us to be bold and has encouraged creative thinking in how we can better ourselves as individual churches and as a partnership.
